I am at Em's right now! We are gong to YALC on Sunday and we are super pumped for it!
I am finding it really hard to have ideas for blog posts so I thought I'd do an updated "Facts About Me Tag thingy".
1. I am a British teen
2. My favourite book is The Perks of Being A Wallflower
3. My favourite book series is Harry Potter
4. I am a Hufflepuff
5. I am Homoflexible/ Questioning.
6. I live with my mum, my dad, my brother and my greyhound
7. I prefer my middle name to my first name and think it would be cool if they were swapped (Maud is my middle name).
8. The last thing I bought was a present for Emile :-)
9. I only fluently speak English but I learn Spanish at school
10. I am 5ft 2inch roughly
11. My favourite song right now is Dead Fox by Courtney Barnett
12. I do dance for 6 hours a week
13. I have a slightly creepy obsession with Emma Watson
Emile - actually it's scary. She has a life size cardboard cut-out of her in her bedroom.
14. My Ilvermorny House is Pukwudgie
15. She is the most annoying person to sleep in the same room as in the entire world - love from Em
16. I am currently reading Only Ever Yours by Louise O'Neill
17. I much prefer winter weather to summer weather but I like how light it is in summer which means I can walk back from ballet.
18. My most anticipated reads are: Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton and A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab :-)
19. My favourite animals are otters and sloths.
20. The person/people I'm closest to in my family are my parents.
21. Emile is my most favourite person in the whole wide world.
22. The authors I have met in my lifetime are Jacqueline Wilson, Michael Morpurgo, Louise O'Neill, Alwyn Hamilton and V.E. Schwab.
23. I am pescatarian
24. I have a scar running up my lip from when I split it open when I was really young. It is still there and quite visible.
25. I forgot that the Olympics starts on Friday.
26. My phone lock-screen is a picture of me and Louise O'Neill (the picture is absolutely horrible and O'Neill's eyes are half closed, thanks to Em's amazing photography skills ;))
27. This post was originally going to be a 20 facts about me post but then Em wrote 50 facts on hers (look out for that post coming your way) so I thought I'd up my game.
28. I really hate school. I often get teased and my group of friends aren't exactly popular in our year. We don't do anything wrong, we are just very weird and slightly nerdy.
29. My favourite genres are YA historical fiction and just really deep stories in general.
30. I used to only stick to reading contemporary and only recently did I vary the books I read.
31. We have been running this blog for 1 Year and 80 days (and the only comments we have ever got are from A at abookphilosophy!)
32. Sometimes we question whether people actually read our posts so please leave a comment to show that you are there.
33. At first (in reception/preschool), Emile hated me because I was a super popular 5 year old :'-)
34. My dad is a graphic designer and my mum used to be a garden designer.
35. I am never happy with my instagram feed.
36. My least favourite food is Greek Salad (I don't like tomatoes or feta)
37. My favourite school subjects are Art, History, Drama and English.
38. I am going into Year 10 and I am freaking terrified.
39. My biggest fear is having to stop doing dance (I know it sounds really stupid but dance has seriously saved me, I was going through a super hard time around a year ago and if I hadn't met my dance teacher I seriously don't think I would be nearly as happy as I am now. So yeah...she doesn't realise how her dance lessons have helped me and I really wish I could tell her that but I feel like she would think I am really weird so I never really have.)
40. I have had a counsellor before but I hated it so much so one day I refused to go and have been much better since.

43. My least favourite time of day is night because I'm bad at sleeping and often have really horrible thoughts at night.
44. I really want to try and write a book but don't think I have the imagination or resilience :-/

46. I am more arty than academic. I hate Maths so much, I cannot even explain the hatred I have for it even though I am in one of the top sets.
47. Around 1 year ago, I cut my hair into a pixie cut and now my hair is around chin length.
48. My resting face looks super sad and I often get asked if I'm okay.
49. I play the piano and the ukelele but don't have lessons for either because I prioritise dance.
50. Once I told my PE teacher that she was teaching dance wrong and got into LOADS of trouble- that's probably the most trouble I've ever been in at school :-/
Thankyouuu! I am really excited because on Sunday, Em, A, Harriet and I are going to Young Adult Literature Convention in London, Olympia. We will be photo blogging about the day so enjoy!
