2016 Reading Resolutions // Emile

Hola mis amigos!

I've been learning Spanish, in case you haven't noticed.

It is the eve of the new year, which feels really weird because in my head we should still be around August. Where did the time go? It's weird because that's the sort of thing middle-aged people say, I'm only a teenager.

Part of new year annoys me because so many people keep telling me that this is the perfect time to turn my life around. My life doesn't need turning around thank you. Even so, I do like to think about what I would like to achieve in this next coming year. And maybe even get my act together a bit. Which is completely different to "turning my life around". Anyway, here are my bookish resolutions for 2016.

1. Update Goodreads regularly.
I'm really bad and I only update about once every few weeks. By the way, here is a link to my Goodreads page: www.goodreads.com/emilebooks

2. Read 70 books.
Don't judge me, there is no way I could read 100.

3. Read a Dickens novel.
I'm not a big fan, but I would like to try again. Mainly just so that I can sound clever.

4. Write and publish blog posts ON TIME.
I realise how bad I am at this and I apologise. Ever since the start of the year I have been even worse.

5. Read every day.
I want to set aside time each day to read. Even 20 minutes before bed would make a big difference.

Let me know your reading resolutions in the comments below and I'll see you tomorrow with another This is Life post!

Buenas Noches,
Emile x
